From the 14th of November 2022 there will be temporary traffic lights on the A844 between Craigmore and Kerrycroy for Scottish Water to conduct infrastructure work. They will be in place intermittently after this date for a period of time.

Dear stakeholder,

Just to let you know about some road traffic management we will be installing on the Isle of Bute to allow us to replace an existing pumping station.

The site is located on private land next to the A844 between Craigmore and Kerrycroy, however, to lift a mini-excavator and materials into place we need to use temporary traffic lights on the road.

The plan is to set them up around 6.30pm, lift the equipment into place which should take approximately half an hour, then removing the lights. This will need to happen a couple of times during the course of the project.

We will be on site carrying out preparatory work on the private land next week with the first use of traffic lights required on Monday 14 November 2022.

We do not anticipate this causing significant disruption, but we would be grateful if you could share this information with local people.
